When Bonny began working in ai generated images she felt it needed to get off the computer screen in a very unique way that would set it apart from all inkjet printing. She began exploring UV printing when the first printer was brought to the US. Then in 2014 Roland DGA load her a UV printer to develop a project for one of Russell Brown’s Conference events. She considers the Roland UV printers to be the gold standard for UV fine art printing. The uvFlux process was develop on a Roland UV printer.

The material used for the Flux print was developed for this special application and is unique and necessary to the uvFlux print process. The print has a visual depth illusion.  They are half and inch thick and have a high received value in weight and material.

Distinctive Depth

The desire to touch the surface is apparent any time these are seen.  So much so that it is recommended to hang one that has this  note:  “Yes, you may touch!”  Touch is part of language.  It helps for the viewer understand something they have never seen before.

Bring the ai image to life in the uvFlux print. Hand one to a person and they will smile. The depth, selected reflection of jewel tones amid rich embossed blacks bring a smile to any one that holds the print.  You never get done looking at a uvFlux print. It changes in the light and angle of view. The print process is suitable for graphic images and photography as well as ai.
